With a perfect blend of R&B, Pop, Jazz, African and Hip Hop, Africa has delivered music's newset sensation, Mary-Jane Ajuluchukwu Elumelu-James. Going simply by, Aju, this new artist has refined originality amidst the monotony of today's urban music. Using her songwriting talent, sensual voice, and eye catching performances, Aju has created a model of music perfection.

Aju first discovered her love for music as a little girl growing up and singing in the church choir in her native Nigeria. This talent, first noted during childhood has culminated in the birth of Aju in 2001. This project was created with the encouragement of friends and family and the musical influences of such greats as Sade.

What is the meaning behind the name? Mary-Jane said it best when she said, "God's disposition must not be questioned."
